The Georgia Tech Research Corporation (GTRC) is a contracting entity that supports research and technology development at Georgia Tech. It is responsible for all sponsored activities for colleges and other units not part of the Georgia Tech Research Institute. 

GTRC is also the assignee on all intellectual property developed at Georgia Tech, while the Office of Technology Licensing manages the invention portfolio, licensing affairs, and patent decisions. 

Since its founding, GTRC has received over 75,000 contracts totaling more than $10 billion. It holds over 1,100 U.S. patents on behalf of Georgia Tech and has more than 600 active commercialization license agreements with companies.
